Updated over a month ago

You can use an external link to share documents, collections or folders with third parties outside the system.
The link is a URL address that recipients can use to access the current status of the shared content.

Authorisations for creating external links

Administrators and internal users

  • You can create external links to all visible collections, folders and documents.

External users

  • They can only create external links for collections and documents that they themselves own.

Guests

  • Guests cannot create external links.

Properties of external links

  • You can configure the external link individually.

  • Changes to the configuration take effect immediately.

  • The URL address remains the same so that you do not have to send the recipient a new link.

  • If you delete the link, it is deactivated immediately.

    • It is not possible to restore it.

    • You can create a new external link if required.
