In the "Documents" area, you can lock the displayed documents or execute further functions using the context menu.

Here you can view the document in full screen.
Edit
Here you can lock the document for other users if you want to download and edit it.
This is how the lock works:
You open a process
You click on "Edit"
The process is locked for editing by other users
Other users see the following message when opening: "The task is being edited by ..."
Download the document for editing
Removing the lock
The lock is automatically cancelled in the following cases:
Action | Result |
Cancel editing | Lock is cancelled immediately |
Close browser tab | Lock is cancelled immediately |
Network problems | Lock is automatically cancelled after 60 seconds at the latest |
ℹ️ Security mechanism:
Automatic release after 60 seconds in the event of network problems prevents processes from remaining permanently locked.
After editing
Upload the document again after editing.
